A Custom Built Harry Lawson Ultralite Mountaineer Model 650 chambered in 284 Winchester, right hand stock with a custom Remington 700 action, deluxe pistol grip stock carved out of French walnut with a rosewood forend cap and pistol grip cap and a compass point bordered inlay. The thumb hole stock has sharp hand checkering and in-lay by B. Lawrenz and a flared rubber butt pad. The wood is very fine with rich color, attractive grain, crisp carving, with some slight scratches. Mechanically excellent. It has a blind box magazine. The modified short action will accept 162 gr long action shells and is bedded for extreme accuracy. This Mountaineer rifle has a 22 inch tapered barrel. The premium hi-polish matchless finish blueing is 99% . The bore is mint with strong rifling and shiny with not a hint of corrosion. The silent push button safety integral with the trigger guard is a H. Lawson trademark. Trigger is crisp and breaks at about 2 1/2 lbs. Scope mount and rings finished matchless to compliment the rifle. Scope is Leupold gold ring 2 ½ X 8. Overall length is 42 inches. LOP is 13 3/4 inches. Includes approx 70 rounds of custom loaded ammunition and reloading specs for ultimate accuracy. Less than 100 rounds shot. This Model 650 was made by Harry himself in 1984 and has only been hunted twice. It would make a great Mountain rifle. Cost to replace would be near $4K.
