PTR-44 ,STG 44 SEMI AUTO MP44

This is honestly one of the rarest and hardest to find guns. This is the PTR-44, semi-auto rifle, chambered for 8mm Kurz (7.92x33mm). It is an exact replica of the famous Sturmgewehr MP-44 of WWII Nazi-Germany, made as a semi-auto only rifle. It was built in Germany by Sport Systeme Dittrich and imported into the USA over a decade ago by PTR Inc. There are very few of these in America, and this one is in good shape and issue-free. It comes with 2 quality magazines, buttstock manual, and takedown tool,original plastic hard case. (The SSD BD-44/PTR-44) Back in 2009, PTR Inc. imported 200 MP.44/STG.44 replica rifles from SSD of Germany. Originally named the BD-44, for the US market the designation was changed to PTR-44. PTR sold 150 to the public. Many of the stripped receivers were later sold off by Recon-Ordnance for people to use with their original WWII MP.44 parts kits to make legal semi-autos. The SSD PTR-44 really is an exact replica of the original, with all of the same construction and features. It has a stamped and welded receiver, with front trunnion block, as well as the recoil spring in the stock. The bolt, carrier, gas system, and trigger group are all recreated exactly as original. It even has a fire mode selector switch to complete the look. The only changes are minor and had to be done to make this an ATF approved semi-auto. The metal has a nice blued finish, with authentic looking WWII style markings and codes. The buttstock and grip panels are made of wood, just as on an original. Other features include: 16.5" long barrel, threaded muzzle with removable nut, hooded front sight, adjustable rear sight, stacking rod, sheet metal handguard, protective dustcover, hinged lower frame (trigger housing), trap door in the stock for a kit, and front and rear sling points. Comes with two magazines, one of which is superior to the ones that came with the rifle originally. As close as you can get, original size/weight/caliber/feel/looks !
