Vintage 1953 Marlin 336 30-30.

Here is my like new 1953 Marlin 336 30-30. This is one of the earliest “Texan” straight stock style I have seen, most of the ones from 1948 on were of the pistol grip style. This was the same year I got out of high school and it’s in better shape than I am some 67 years later!!! They don’t make them like this anymore and it’s hard to find one that was really made in New Haven and without all the gimmicky lawyer safety stuff added!. Great rifle, the action is as good and and locks up as crisp as the day it first shot, was fun to shoot and shoots great, and if it could talk it could tell you it has taken its share of deer over the years. I am in my mid 80’s and have to give up hunting/shooting because of health issues or I wouldn’t part with it.
