Remember “The Outlaw Josey Wales?” Excellent functioning 1980-era Connecticut Valley Arms Italian made reproduction (SAN MARCO) 1861 Colt Navy cap and ball revolver (.44 caliber percussion). Brass frame and steel gray/black finish with image of fighting sailing ships of the Texas Navy roll-stamped on the cylinder. Serial number is 27908. Barrel is stamped with CONNECTICUT VALLEY ARMS, INC. Totally free of rust and brass has no blemishes; bore excellent; light handling wear. One small chip on bottom of grip you have to look for. Comes in original packing container and includes two small instruction books on how to shoot it and how to take it apart. Also includes two holsters: one is a repro civil war style leather flap holster from Collectors Armory and the other is a leather slim jim style bought from a gunshow vendor.
Great option for Cowboy action shooting, Civil War reenactment display, or just blasting milk jugs. $120.00 or will discuss trade for a comparable shape reproduction Colt 1849 .31 caliber pocket revolver.
Historical Note: Colt won contract with the Union Army to produce this revolver which was common sidearm during the Civil War. Because of the roll-stamped image of fighting sailing ships on the cylinder, this model revolver was commonly referred to as the "Navy" Colt Revolver.
