Auto Ordinance D-DAY COMMEMORATIVE M1911A1 .45ACP Limited Edition of only 1000 issued to honor the Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944. Pistol is selectively plated with 24 Karat Gold in engraving, lettering and escutcheons on frame and grips. Commemorative is issued by the American Historical Foundation in Richmond, Va. All the factory gold plated parts were replaced with aftermarket parts and the pistol has been fired. All the original gold plated parts as well as the aftermarket parts will be included in the sale. The pistol comes with one magazine. This is a great piece of history especially for the novice collector that doesn't want to spend $1500.00 for one of these pistols new. Buyer pays actual shipping.
