FN Commercial Mauser Action

This is a Commercial Mauser Model 98 large ring action made by Fabrique National in Belgium. This is the best of the best. Complete action to build your custom rifle on. FN made these actions back in the 1960s. The metallurgy is far superior to any of the old military Mausers. There is no thumb cut on the side of the receiver, which makes it stronger and stiffer and more accurate. The bolt handle and safety shroud are both low to clear a scope. The receiver is drilled and tapped for mounts. FN installed Sako triggers on most of their actions during this time period and this has one. The trigger is very good, similar to a Timney Sportsman. The receiver is blued and the trigger guard / magazine well assembly is light weight aluminum alloy with an enamel finish. The enamel has some scratches but it would be easy to refinish. This action is from a .30-06 rifle so it will accept all .30-06 length cartridges. $350 firm. These are getting very hard to find. If you research the internet you will see that this is a very good price for this particular action.
