Mossberg 183DG .410 CURLY WALNUT STOCK!

I have to sell my beloved .410 in order to justify buying a handgun that I just bought. This is a Mossberg 183DG .410 shotgun that is in fantastic condition. It was manufactured between 1968 and 1971. It is a 3-shot bolt action with an internal magazine. It has a screw on modified choke, so it is excellent for all different kinds of game, large and small. Other chokes are available for this gun at a low cost, but the modified and no-choke cylinder bore have done all that I ever needed it to.

The walnut stock on this gun is absolutely beautiful! It is one piece, but from the trigger guard, forward, it is relatively straight-grained, but from the trigger guard, back, it is a rarely seen CURLY walnut! Also, on the left side of the stock there is a full color picture of a flying grouse that is very nice looking. I can't find any information about any of these guns coming from the factory with this picture, but it sure looks like it is professionally done. It also has the aesthetically pleasing factory white spacer between the stock and butt plate, marking the era that it came from.

The bluing looks great all over, except there is a little bit of freckling in a couple spots. That is literally the ONLY imperfection of this sweet gun. The bore is simply gorgeous. Shiny and smooth as can be, like new.

It's not hard to find a Mossberg .410, but you would be very hard pressed to find one of these high quality older ones in this fine of a condition. It truly is an awesome gun, whether you want it for deer, squirrels, turkey, grouse, or whatever... even if it's just to hang up on your gun rack to look at! I will gladly sell it , but I will be sad to see it go. Like I said, I'm only letting this beauty go to help pay for my new 9mm that I need more than this gun.
