Ok, this is a gun that I REALLY don't want to get rid of, but to keep it would mean that I would have to stock up deep on a kind of ammo that I have almost none of. That is the ONLY reason that I am selling this gem of a shooter. Between my 3 sons and I, we have a bunch of shotguns, and all of us agree that this is one of our very favorite to shoot. Just everything about it... I can't explain it. It holds 5+1 rounds, which is a treat, but an even cooler treat is that it has the classic "slamfire" feature! Talk about fun! And it's a lot of fun had with a model of gun that is very hard to find these days.

I love the old, dark wood it has with the hand checkering that is not worn down. Between the fact that the checkering is still strong, and that the bore is so nice, I'm inclined to think that this gun hasn't been shot a ton over the years. It's by no means a "like new" gun, but it's also been well taken care of in it's use, and is a far cry from being worn out in any way.

I don't remember what the choke on this gun is. I looked it up once, and it took me forever to find out what it was. I do know that I have shot plenty of slugs through it just fine, and also spreadshots that leave a nice pattern. My guess is that it is a modified choke, which is my favorite because of it's versatility for different uses.

The trigger on this gun is nice and light, too. Not a hair trigger, but nice and light, just how I like it on a shotgun. It pulls easy and goes "bang" right when you expect it to.

This is just a beautiful gun! You can look at it and know it has stories to be told if it could speak, but the story wouldn't be, "I've been through hell and back!" No, the stories would be all good ones, I'm sure. I know it at least tells a story of a father and his 3 teenage sons having a blast (no pun intended) going out shooting on their farm in the Appalachian Ohio hills!

Like I said, if it wasn't for the fact that I don't want to collect yet another kind of ammo, I would never get rid of this old beauty of a shooter. If you are looking for a collector grade gun, this is not your gun, but if you are looking for a super sweet, beautiful shooter that brings you back to better days in our country, I really think that this one would do the trick for you, just as it has for my sons and I.

Text or email me with questions. I can email pics upon request. I will possibly be willing to do a partial trade for ammo (7.62x39, 38 special) . Thanks a bunch.
