Dutch Belgian 1815 Naval Pistol

A good functional example of the Dutch naval pistol in service from 1815 until the adoption of the Mle. 1845. As can be seen, some cretin used steel wool on the exposed metal surfaces, particularly the 9" .69 smooth bore barrel. At this time, post Treaty of Vienna, Belgium and Holland were united as a single kingdom under King William I. It was not until the revolution of 1830 that modern Belgium came to be.
