I have a Hogue Factory Stock from my Remington 700 SPS for sale. The stock is in like new shape. You can see from the picture it has two aluminum pillars. This is not the full length aluminum supported stock that comes on some of the Remy's. I did not have any issues with the barrel touching on my rifle though. I was not using a bypod though.
