A very rare Purdey 10 bore - gauge hammerless shotgun built in 1883. What makes this rare is the bore of 10 gauge. Graded by one of the countries top fine gun stores it was given a 85+ on the metal and 65+ on the wood. The two things that drove the wood gradfe down was the added recoil pad and the repaired but minor stock repair. The previous owner is an ex Purdey gunsmith so all repairs were done correctly. Damacus barrels which ring true and are in fine condition. In Purdey's own words " a quite rare gun". A true replacement cost woud be six figures if Purdey would build another. Additional pictures and all question answered are availble to serious inquiries only.
