Rock Island Arsenal M1903

"Springfield" Model 1903 30.06 built by Rock Island Arsenal. Serial # is a later serial meaning it is completely safe to shoot with modern ammunition. It was rebarreled and arsenal refinished most likely in the 40's. Barrel is a Springfield Armory which dates to 10/17 and is a barrel that was most likely taken from a scrapped Springfield receiver (a number of Springfield receivers lower than 800,000 were scrapped due to improper heat treating/brittleness). This rifle has NOT been sporterized but the stock has been replaced with an 03A3 stock during it's arsenal refinish. This rifle is in BEAUTIFUL condition with absolutely no rust or pitting. The stock is free from any nicks or dings. Bore is in good condition and clean. The rifle still has it's cleaning equipment in the butt of the gun. It does come with period correct sling but it is in bad shape. It is a wondrous, very accurate shooter. 1903s in this condition are incredibly hard to find, even with an arsenal refinish. I am asking 900$ O.B.O. I am located in Kentwood, MI but make my way down to the Elsie/Chesaning/Owosso area every other week.
