This is a great condition, SKS Model 57, with the stamp of the 625 arsenal. Matching serial numbers, made in 1973. People who know about type 57s will know how to date this when they see the serial number. It has a hand carved plug in it to reduce it to 5 rds (checked by the DNR, legal to hunt deer with). The plug can be removed. The cleaning kit is still enclosed, I do have the original bayonet (spike style) but its not attached. I am dropping the price to 225. Either that, or I will trade for an older military bolt action (no 8mm mausers, I have one, I would take a mosin nagant, araska, Enfield (especially a 303 british, I have always wanted one) If you want to save some money, one of the big box sport stores has mosin nagants on sale for 200. Buy it and trade it to me. Those guys know nothing about these rifles, and value them all as norincos or mixed part models. They don't know about the arsenal stamps, how to date by serial number, I can provide sources that are proof that this gun is an authentic type 57, made for North Vietnam, and the arsenal it was made for. I can also throw in 20-30 rds of ammo.
