Range Safety / Chief Range Safety Officer

The classroom is located at: Hard Knock Grill Conference Room 3705 Ann Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49202
The range will conducted at: North Portage Rd, approx 4 miles from class room maps will be provided.

Class will start at 8am and will run till approx 6pm each day of class. End time could be earlier or later.

CLASSROOM RULES

No loaded firearms or LIVE ammunition will be allowed in the classroom at any time. That includes students, instructors, staff, CPL holders and law enforcement.

This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, an Instructor Application/Course Evaluation form
Chief Range Safety Officer Course. Course includes all materials needed. This is an Instructor level course. Our prerequisites for this course include being a current NRA Instructor (i.e. have already taken NRA Basic Instructor Training), and be a current NRA Range Safety Officer. If you have neither requirement,Must have completed BIT and RSO. The class fee does not include NRA Trainers fees

*NRA number, if you have one (Member ID will be your instructor ID when certified, plus you will be able to get immediate certification upon course completion. You do not need to be an NRA Member to be an NRA Instructor, however it will expedite your certification and you will be able to view your credentials much sooner on-line. If not a member you can save $10.00 at randcpl.com and sign up.





LUNCH

We will have a break for lunch, generally this will take place in transit from the classroom to the range.
