absolutely gorgeous Original Colt Lightning 32-20 Round barrel rifle. The Rampart horse on the left side of the frame is fine with no ware, markings on barrel are all fine. The rifle is covered with parts of the original blue finish. the wood is very nice with no cracks and proud to metal. The part that is amazing to me, is that the bore on this rifle is absolutely mint. It looks to be maybe not even fired before and ifs maybe a handful of times. I believe someone actually tried to take off all of the original blue finish as if for some reason, the owner who didn't like the look. Sn#27***. Mfg 1888. Early Lightning thats absolutely gorgeous. I'd say theres 50 to 60 % blue remaining. The last one of these Lightnings I had was 95% and this gun outdoes that one. The action on this is perfect. There are traces of colors on the hammer. This is absolutely one of the finest overall inside Colt Lightning's you will find. Please view pictures for more details.
