Selling a 1950 Long Branch (Canadian) Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk1* in .303 British. Serial number 35L4757 with matching bolt.
I've kept this rifle as a shooter for the last couple years. Bore is in excellent condition. Nice trigger pull. Has performed quite well for me. Selling to fund other projects.
Rifle appears to have been refurbished at some point, but I am unsure if this was FTR'd (which I somewhat doubt. given its post-war manufacture - but would have to defer to a collector) or worked on later on by a shooter. Forestock is in great shape with only minor dings; though I am not sure if it is original as I can find no markings. Handguards appear to have neen replaced and are in great shape. Buttstock is in excellent condition, and while it appears to have been replaced it does bear a Long Branch marking. Bluing on the receiver I would call 85%+ condition with only signs of normal wear and minor scratches. I can provide additional photos upon request.
I am not an FFL. Would prefer to meet FTF in or near Ankeny. Buyer must demonstrate that he is an Iowa resident. Alternatively, I would would be willing to ship to FFL provided that buyer pays shipping fees. I am not interested in trades at this time. Asking $250 firm.
