Collectors Item: Harrington & Richardson, Model 949 Forty Niner Double Action Revolver. 22LR - 9 Shot Barrel Length 5-1/2 " Blue Finish with walnut grips. Original Box. Holster included. In near new condition showing little evidence of use.

The Model 949 dates back from 1960 and was manufactured until 1985. It was built to resemble an old single-action, yet is double action. The rear sight is adjustable. There were two versions manufactured; the Model 949 is blued finish, the Model 950 is nickel plated. In November 2000, the Marlin Firearms Co purchased the Assets of Harrington & Richardson 1871, Inc. Marketing its products under the names of "Harrington & Richardson and New England Firearms, H&R 1871, LLC" & is currently the largest manufacturer of single shot shotguns and rifles in the world --- H&R ---
